Marsupial devil is a rare animal

The animal, which belongs to marsupial organisms, has a second name - the Tasmanian devil. It lives only on the island of Tasmania.

Indeed, one cannot envy his appearance, of course, not so handsome. The body of the predator has well-developed muscles and is covered with black fur.

The head of the marsupial devil is large, its paws are short and its voice is rather unpleasant, but you can put up with it. But his temper and habits leave much to be desired.

The animal is famous for its exorbitant appetite and bite force. He leads a solitary nocturnal lifestyle, hiding in a dense shrub during the day, but sometimes he gathers in small flocks.

The marsupial devil is a predator, and like all animals leading such a lifestyle, it causes a negative attitude in humans. In general, he is not the devil, in the literal sense of the word, and that's what his people called him, whom he had badly screwed up. When developing the island of Tasmania, a man first encountered this animal, and at first did not pay any attention to the marsupial devil. But the predator immediately reminded himself of himself, having plundered stocks of meat products from the first colonists and destroying all the chickens brought by the settlers.

People have begun the methodical extermination of a poor animal, who wants the unknown beast to rule with impunity? Moreover, the meat of the marsupial devil was to the taste of people. The hunt was so intense that this beast was preserved in very small quantities, it now lives high in the mountains in completely uninhabited areas.

The Tasmanian devil is a rare endangered species, so it is carefully protected by law.

In Australia, it does not occur at all, almost farmers got rid of it. But many scientists believe that this beast is not so terrible and dangerous, and it was impossible to allow almost complete destruction of the animal. People are usually scared by the loud scream that the animal makes in moments of danger, but these sounds are more like a strong rattle. In addition, when attacked by enemies, the devil repels them with an unpleasant smell, like a skunk. Any animal, if attacked, is forced to defend itself, showing all its cruel, bestial qualities. Who has observed the behavior of the Tasmanian devil in the zoo, doubts its disgusting features.

The little devil is not averse to feasting on game.

Young marsupial devils are tamed quite easily, they become funny, you can play with them like with dogs, only the chicken coop should not be allowed in any case, poultry is the favorite prey of the beast.

If you look closely, the devil has a pretty pretty face, well-groomed skin, they wash themselves, moisten their hands with saliva and wipe their fur. The appearance of the devil, if you are completely unaware of his leprosy, does not make a repulsive impression on people.

Outwardly, the animal does not at all look like the devil.

Previously, no one was studying the habits of this beast, and only when it became a rare animal, scientists made a description of the external signs and characteristics of the devil's behavior. At the same time, interesting facts were discovered: adult animals are very caring parents, they have to work hard to raise their cub. After all, a newborn baby born in the world has a body size of a little more than a centimeter, while her parents reach a body length of more than half a meter. So the baby has to sit in his mother’s bag until his eyes open and at least a semblance of hair appears.

Marsupial devils are good parents. Mother takes care of the offspring, carrying it in a bag.

There can be no more than 4 cubs, since the mother has only four nipples with milk. For two months, babies gain weight so quickly that they weigh 7 times more before they are born. And only after reaching six months, young animals leave the bag. Parents watch the young generation for a long time, take care, arrange a cozy nest of grass, feed them milk, and of course, protect them from enemies.
